TDS to the Rescue: Fritha and Ellie

Every week Team Two Dogs Social does our best to volunteer and help animals in need. Whether we transport dogs from shelters to their new homes, spend a few hours playing with needy pups or sending in much needed donations we always try our best to make their temporary time in shelters as pleasant as possible!

This week I had the pleasure of transporting a gorgeous boxer mix name Fritha to her new foster family. Together we rode from Allen, Texas up to Lexington, Oklahoma where she would finally have a warm bed to sleep in and all the belly rubs she could ever dream of while waiting to meet her forever family. She is a sweet playful pup who loves other dogs, cats and children. She is a little shy at first but once you will her a belly rub and a treat, she will always be by your side. For more information on this sweet girl please contact Peggy from the Noble Animal Shelter at: 214.704.1759

Another sweet pup I got to meet this week is Ellie. My friend Amanda had rescued little Ellie from the Norman Animal Shelter Facebook page. It’s truly amazing the amount of networking you can reach through social media for animals in need. About a week ago Ellie experienced a seizure and after many tests her vet diagnosed her with having a liver shunt. A liver shunt is a blood vessel which compromises the blood flow to the liver, this then can cause the liver to not work properly and creates a build up of toxins in the body. Ellie will have surgery to repair this on Tuesday June 6th. The doctors give little Ellie under a year to live if she does not have this procedure. Please consider donating to this sweet girl’s vet costs and helping to save her life! So lets get her healthy so that she can continue to spread her puppy kisses!
